ABOUT THE BAND

Cracked Voices was formed in the late 1990s by a trio of neighbors -- Kevin Handerhan, guitars, Dave Straight, harmonica and keyboards, and Rob Laird, guitars and mandolin. Originally an acoustic band, Cracked Voices evolved over time by adding neighbor Mike Chieppor on drums and bass guitar and then former neighbor Greg Steffy on drums. Secret weapon Val Straight (vocals and saxophone) add a little class to the band on special tunes. The band plays two or three gigs a year to raise money for charity and have some fun.
