| Cracked Voices was formed in the late 1990s by a trio of neighbors -- Kevin Handerhan, guitars, Dave Straight, harmonica and keyboards, and Rob Laird, guitars. Originally an acoustic band, Cracked Voices evolved over time by adding neighbor Mike Chieppor on drums and bass guitar and then former neighbor who we'll simply refer to as the Percussion Wizard on drums. The Wizard flies in from Charlotte, NC to join the band on gigs. Secret weapons Lauren Laird (vocals) and Val Straight (vocals and saxophone) add a little class to the band on special tunes. The band plays two or three gigs a year to raise money for charity and have some fun. |
