I remember the last time I saw the Cracked
Voices.... it was like an awesome dream ....where little magical bowling team members played wonderful melodies while singing of supernatural fairy tales....of course, with the occasional Neil Young tune thrown in.
As I left that night, I said to myself.....
'I don't think I have ever been THIS happy.'

For a bunch of 40 year olds you guys rocked the house last Friday night!! From the oldies to your own you guys hit the mark and that FREE BIRD rendition just cranks! The energy waves were felt in Zelie and attendance and drinking records were all but broken for sure even for an Elks. I even spotted some fires breaking out on the dance floor.

Now if we could only get those Elk bartenders to be a little more customer service centered and friendly we'd be in a happy place. I'm still waiting for the day you rock a bigger venue like PNC Park. Don't stay away too long now.

I remember I was staying out at Gerrards Cross, about 15 km west of London. I was running late getting to my connector point at the Marleybone Tube station and just as I got there the train I needed to head home was pulling away. I knew right then, it was going to be a lonnnnngggggg time before the next westbound train was heading to the G-Cross.
That's how I felt about missing the Cracked Voices latest gig.
Ya know, I still have nightmares where a train with tail lights like an owl on dope is pulling away.... and me left standing and shaking with panic and regret all alone to the sound of growling pit bulls. When I wake up....I turn on a light and reach for a music magazine. Then things get better....

October? Why do I have to wait until October! But it is worth waiting for!!! Go CV!

I think October is perfect!! I remember trying to see my favorite band (at the time it was a chick band called The Runaways) once in August. The problem was a bunch of fire ants near the concert venue were carrying some kind of razor wire from one side of the parking lot to the other. I didn't know why. But the fire ants weren't really watching what they were doing, and a barb brushed up against my leg and I started to bleed. That was a dinner bell for more fire ants!! As the saying goes, they were on me like stink on spoiled swiss cheese.
I said, 'This stinks!!'

I think I survived, but next time I'll wait until October to see my favorite band.
